NORFOLK — Norfolk International Airport (ORF) and Breeze Airways has announced that the budget airline will run nonstop service between Hampton Roads and two other cities.
Breeze Airways, a budget-friendly airline option, will run nonstop service between ORF and Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) as well as Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). Service to ISP will run every Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday while service to PBI will occur on Saturdays.
In addition to ISP and PBI, Breeze also runs service from ORF to Charleston (S.C.), Columbus (Ohio), Hartford (Conn.), New Orleans (La.), Pittsburg (Penn.), Providence (R.I.), and Tampa (Fla.).
Breeze Airways was launched in 2021 by Founder and CEO David Neeleman, of whom the airline describes as “a serial airline entrepreneur.” He also launched other airline startups, including JetBlue, Azul, Westjet, and Morris Air (which later sold to Southwest Airlines). The company describes its service as merging kindness and technology at affordable fares. Additionally, it focuses on what it deems are underserved flight routes along the American East Coast through the Midwest.
