RICHMOND — The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will host a free, virtual town hall to address the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine for children. The event is set for Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The town hall is for parents and caregivers of children 5 to 11-years-old and will address key information about the vaccine.
Dr. Suzanne Lavoie, a pediatric infectious diseases specialist, will address vaccine myths and facts. Dr. Tiffany Kimbrough, a pediatrician will discuss a parents role in speaking with pediatricians about the vaccine. Senior Operations Director Rocquel Crawley will go over where and how to get the vaccine.
Participants will have the opportunity to asks the panelists questions.
