
A Richmond man accused of selling heroin was arrested by James City County police at a Toano gas station Tuesday following an investigation by the Tri-Rivers Narcotics Task Force.
Cory Devon Brokenbrough, 32, was with a 30-year-old woman and 3-year-old child Tuesday when police arrested him at the Star Express gas station in Toano, located at 9220 Old Stage Road, according to James City County Police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.
Henrico and James City County police officers were both on scene during the arrest, and some officers displayed their weapons, Williams said.
The woman with Brokenbrough, Taylor Marsh Canose, was also arrested on an outstanding capias out of Henrico County, Williams said.
The 3-year-old was picked up by a relative.
No officers or civilians were injured during the arrest.
Both the Tri-Rivers Narcotics Task Force and Henrico County Police Department investigated the case.
