HAMPTON ROADS — June is Pride Month, a dedicated time to celebrate the various ways love and self expression exist. Check out this list of LGBTQ+ events from Hampton Roads Pride happening throughout the month of June.

Pride Selzer Kickoff at Bold Mariner Brewing Company: June 3, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Kick back with friends at the Bold Mariner Brewing Company and try their new Pride Seltzer. Stop by and support this Hampton Roads Pride fundraiser and enjoy a delicious Pride hard seltzer with lime and ginger. For more information, click here.

Virtual Dance Party with DJ Alderman: June 4, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM

MJ’s Tavern 2021 Pride Kick Off Event Parking Lot Party: June 5, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Drag Yourself to Brunch Pride Edition: June 13, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

High-energy shows, over-the-top costumes, upbeat music featuring only the best in the “Art of Illusion” entertainment of Drag Queens – locally and nationally recognized with a different show each week. Pride in the ViBe: June 13, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The Chesapeake Bay Distillery is teaming up with the Creative ViBe District, Hampton Roads Pride, the LGBT Life Center and Hampton Roads Business OutReach (HRBOR) to celebrate the latest Artist Series Bottle release for PRIDE and all things Rainbow. DJ Jacki Paolella and John Upton will be playing. A portion of the party and each bottle of the special-release PRIDE Blue Ridge Vodka will also go to support the full missions of both the LGBT Life Center and Hampton Roads Pride.

Community OUTreach Committee: June 14 @ 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

The Community OUTreach Committee of Hampton Roads Pride aspires to foster connections with the diverse cultures they serve through meaningful action and participation in events open to everyone. Come and share your ideas with ways to educate and engage the general public regarding the LGBT community. Monthly Community OUTreach Committee meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. For more information on this event, click here.

LGBT Hampton History Tour with Dr. Charles Ford: June 16, time tbd

Join Dr. Charles Ford on this pre-recorded tour exploring the LGBT history of Hampton, Virginia. Dr. Ford will share twelve events in LGBT history that occurred right here in Hampton, Virginia. Military Committee: June 16, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Pride Night at Harbor Park Stadium: June 16, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Come enjoy a night out at Harbor Park in celebration of Pride Night. Help support Hampton Roads Pride as they unite the LGBT community with a night at the ballpark. For more information, click here.

Rainbow Starz Variety Show: June 19, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Hampton Roads Pride is introducing a vaudeville-style variety show to the 757 through the Starz of Pride. Singing, dancing, magic, comedy, illusions and more. For more information, click here.

Family Day & Pride Week Kick Off at Ocean Breeze Waterpark: June 20-26 @ 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Cool down and relax with Hampton Roads Pride at Ocean Breeze Waterpark during Pride Week 2021. Ocean Breeze Waterpark offers more than 30 rides, slides, and summertime fun attractions. A portion of proceeds generated during Pride Week, June 20-26 will be donated to support the work and mission of Hampton Roads Pride. For more information, click here.

Board of Directors Meeting: June 21, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Scholarship Committee: June 23, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

The Scholarship Committee of Hampton Roads Pride has awarded more than $60,000 in support of the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders. Scholarships are awarded to people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ+), or identify with an affiliated community (including, but not limited to, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual, Two-spirit, Nonbinary, Agender, and Genderqueer) as well as LGBTQ+ allies (those who do not identify as LGBTQ+, but who are allied with and support the LGBTQ+ community). NAMI Mental Health Challenges in the LGBTQ+ Community: June 24, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Join Hampton Roads Pride and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for this panel discussion regarding mental health challenges in the LGBTQ+ Community. For more information, click here.

Pride Night at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex: June 25, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Sunday Tea Dance Revival: June 27, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Stonewall 52nd Anniversary Panel Discussion – What does Pride mean to me? June 28, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Board Director Dr. Charles Ford will moderate a panel discussion in honor of the 52nd Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The discussion question is “What does Pride mean to me?” For more information on the panel discussion, click here.

LGBT Ghent History Tour with Dr. Charles Ford: June 30
