Holiday plunge benefits underprivileged youth

HAMPTON – The Fort Monroe YMCA is hosting a fundraising for kids at Paradise Ocean Club on Saturday.

Registration for the plunge is closed however anyone who donates or sponsors a plunger can attend. Click here to donate.

According to the event’s Facebook page, participants plunge into the Chesapeake Bay to raise money for the YMCA’s Guardian program which helps children participate in summer and after-school programs.

Plungers are also encouraged to wear holiday costumes.

The 2nd Annual Holiday Plunge is at Paradise Ocean Club, 490 Fenwick Way from 10 a.m. to noon.
