
NEWPORT NEWS — The city’s Tourism department is giving residents free admission to select city attractions starting Monday.
The passes are valid for two adults and two children living in Newport News.
According to the Newport News Tourism announcement, residents must show proof of current residency or city employment before getting an Ambassador Pass, which provides one-time admission to the seven attractions each week in January:
- Peninsula SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. – Jan. 2-8
- Virginia Living Museum, 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. – Jan. 2-8
- Lee Hall Mansion, 163 Yorktown Road – Jan. 9-15
- Virginia War Museum, 9285 Warwick Blvd. – Jan. 9-15
- Endview Plantation, 362 Yorktown Road – Jan. 16-22
- The Mariners’ Museum and Park, 100 Museum Drive – Jan. 16-22
- Peninsula Fine Arts Center, 101 Museum Drive – Jan. 23-29
The passes will be available for pick up from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Dec. 17 through Jan. 29 at the following locations:
- Newport News Visitor Center, 13560 Jefferson Ave.
- Newport News Tourism, 702 Town Center Drive
- City Manager’s Office on the 10th floor of City Hall, 2400 Washington Ave.
