Local university to show new mini series filmed on campus

Hampton University will host a movie screening of Jacqueline and Jilly at the Cinema Cafe next month.

The event is free and open to the public.

The six part mini-series was filmed on campus in residence suites and the campus museum with students and staff acting as extras, according to a news release from the university.

Victoria Rowell from the Young and the Restless is executive director and stars in the family drama about opioid addiction which airs Dec. 6 on the Urban Movie Channel.

The Jacqueline and Jilly screening is at the Cinema Cafe, 1044 Von Schilling Drive on Dec. 9 at 4:30 p.m.
