HAMPTON — The historic Hampton Carousel will be offering Haunted Horse Rides this Halloween season.
The Haunted Horse Rides will take place at the carousel with extended hours Tuesday through Sunday, Oct. 9 through Nov. 4, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The carousel is located in Carousel Park, downtown Hampton.
The carousel and its finely carved and painted horses will be decorated, and carousel staff will be in costume for a frightfully good time, according to a news release.
The costumed staff will be giving out candy to visitors.
The rides will be $1 and you may even be joined by the Headless Horseman.
Built in 1920, the carousel is completely restored to its original beauty and housed in its own weather-protected pavilion on the city’s downtown waterfront.
