If you’re a waiter and want to show off your balancing skills, this race is for you.

HAMPTON — The Waiters Race, presented by Sysco, returns for its third year in Downtown Hampton.

The race is designed for food service professionals, and the objective is to race through a series of obstacles holding a tray without spilling.

The trays will be filled with Stella Artois.

The race will take place downtown at Queens Way on July 28, from 2 to 5 p.m.

To participate, you have to wear your restaurant shirt or bring ID for proof of employment, according to the city.

Registration is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

All registration fees will be donated to No Kid Hungry.

The party continues after the race at 7 p.m.

The prizes are as follows:

  • Individual Division: 1st Place $1,000, 2nd Place $500 and 3rd Place $250.
  • 4-Person Team Division: 1st Pace $1,200, 2nd Place $600 and 3rd Place $400 and traveling trophy for your restaurant.
  • Owner’s Division: Bragging Traveling trophy.

The event is free for the public to watch.
