HAMPTON — Sentara CarePlex Hospital was recognized for its efforts in patient safety.
Sentara CarePlex Hospital recently earned the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, which recognizes hospitals for their excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stay, according to a news release from Sentara.
Healthgrades evaluated hospitals between 2014 and 2016 on 13 different criteria defined by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Healthgrades is an online resource, which compiles information about physicians and hospitals.
