NEWPORT NEWS — This week will be devoted to showcasing this city as a tourism destination.
National Travel and Tourism Week will take place from May 6- May 12 in Newport News. In honor of the week, the city will host a number of events to promote the city.
The city is asking residents to hashtag #LoveNN and post what they love about the city.
Throughout the week there are additional events like the day-long Familiarization Tour of Newport News on May 8 and the Annual Newport News Tourism Awards Luncheon at the Holiday Inn Newport News at City Center on May 9, according to a news release from the city.
