Star Wars music lovers don’t miss a performance of a lifetime

NEWPORT NEWS — Get your lightsabers ready!

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is performing conductor John Williams’ “Star Wars” discography at 7:30 p.m. on April 27 at the Ferguson Center for the Arts.

Special guest conductor Damon Gupton will lead the symphony orchestra and the audience through the world of “Star Wars” during the performance.

Gupton is an actor and orchestral conductor, who has had roles in television shows like Deadline, Prime Suspect and Criminal Minds, according to a news release from the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
