School Supply Drives Underway in the Historic Triangle

HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Back-to-school supply drives are underway in the Historic Triangle, and WYDaily is compiling a list of efforts in the area.

  • On Aug. 1, the Williamsburg Police Department will be at Walgreens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. collecting school supplies. School Resource Officers will also be there to greet students. The department will also collect supplies on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Staples.
  • On Aug. 4, the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office will be at the Tabb Walmart from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. collecting supplies at the Crime Prevention Trailer.
  • From now until Aug. 20, the Virginia Beer Company will be collecting school supplies at its brewery location. Supplies will be donated to the Real People Educating Others initiative. Donors will be entered to win a $100 Virginia Beer Company gift card.
  • From now until Aug. 16, the Williamsburg Regional Library will be collecting school supplies. The supplies will be distributed by the WRL Bookmobile. Donations can be dropped off at the Scotland Street or Croaker Road libraries.
