Water Country USA Announces All-New AquaGlow

Water Country USA announced the debut of AquaGlow, an after-dark event, running Fridays and Saturdays beginning June 27.
“Under the starlit sky, guests will be immersed in an ocean of vibrant colors and pulsating rhythms during this high-energy nighttime celebration that transforms the park into a vibrant, glowing oasis of lights, music and non-stop fun,” the park said. “From serene strolls to wild dance parties, AquaGlow delivers a full-sensory adventure for guests of all ages. Party-goers will experience the park in a whole new light with enhanced glowing and illuminated elements.”
In addition to nighttime rides, AquaGlow features electrified party zones, a live DJ dance party and a high-energy bubble party. Tickets for this separately-ticketed event start at $34.99, Water Country USA Members can purchase tickets for as low as $24.99.
Williamsburg Hornets to Host Clinic
The Williamsburg Hornets football and cheerleading programs are hosting a free conditioning clinic for boys and girls ages 5-12 on July 1. The clinic, which will run from 6-8 p.m. on the WISC Turf Fields #3, will allow for interested parents and children to meet coaches and teams, talk to other Hornets parents, and sign up for fall football and cheerleading on site. Abram Frink Jr. Community Center Annual Gym Closure
James City County announced the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center will be closed July 3-10 for gym floor maintenance.
Maintenance will include cleaning and refinishing the gym floor with oil-based polyurethane. The Frink Center, closed on weekends, will reopen Friday, July 11.
During the closure, all active Frink Center pass holders may use the James City County Recreation Center during normal operating hours.

Sewer Maintenance on Messick and Ridge Roads
The City of Poquoson announced sewer maintenance is scheduled take place on Messick and Ridge Roads Tuesday, June 24 through Wednesday, July 2.
The project timeline is weather-dependent. While the project is underway, traffic may be impacted due to heavy equipment and workers in the area, and motorists are asked to please proceed with caution for the safety of those working in the area.

Library of Virginia Mobile Programming Van to Attend Picnic in the Park in Poquoson

The Library of Virginia will bring its mobile programming van, LVA On the Go, to the Picnic in the Park at the Poquoson Municipal Park Friday, June 27, from 5-10 p.m.
York County Tax Bills Due on June 25
York County residents are reminded tax bills are due June 25 and to avoid late penalties by ensuring payments are submitted on time.
Multiple options are available to pay:
- Pay online via the County website at yorkcounty.gov/treasurer
- Mail a payment (postmarked by June 25)
- Drop by the Treasurer’s Office Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., or use the 24/7 drop box located outside of the building.
