YORKTOWN — The Rev. Stephen Kurtzahn was installed as the new pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Yorktown in February.
According to the church, due to a current shortage of pastors in most Christian denominations, Kurtzahn came out of pastoral retirement to serve Our Redeemer, which had an 18-month pastoral vacancy.
Originally from Minneapolis, Kurtzahn has previously served churches in North Carolina, Texas, and Minnesota.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the third-largest Lutheran denomination in the U.S.
Our Redeemer’s Sunday service begins at 9:30 a.m., with children’s Sunday school and adult Bible class at 10:45 a.m. The public is always welcome.
