JCCPD Investigate Incidents of Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is investigating incidents of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

During the overnight hours of March 19-20, multiple incidents of theft from unlocked vehicles and vehicle tampering occurred in the Season’s Trace neighborhood. 

The department stated that a purse, cash, a wallet and electronics were among the items stolen.

JCCPD is encouraging residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock their doors.

Police are asking for anyone who saw anything suspicious, know who may have been involved or have home security video camera systems, including doorbell cameras, that may have captured suspicious persons or vehicles to contact Investigator Sten at (757) 603-6044 or leslie.sten@jamescitycountyva.gov.
