WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg native Dylan Pritchett, aka “The Storyteller,” will be joined by other Virginia Black Storytellers at Freedom Park on Saturday, June 19.

From noon until 3 p.m., guests will hear traditional stories that are rich in history as part of Williamsburg’s Juneteenth events.

Freedom Stories & More is a free event sponsored by James City County Parks and Recreation.

Dating back to the 1650s, Freedom Park, 5537 Centerville Rd, is the historical site of one of the nation’s earliest Free Black Settlements from 1803 to 1850.

The park has three historically accurate recreated cabins, furnished with authentic items.

The event will also feature unique crafts for children, as well as music and food for purchase.
