As warmer weather rolls in, Go Ape is once again opening up its zipline courses to local adrenaline junkies.
Reopening March 6, Go Ape Treetop Adventure courses offer an unparalleled outdoor experience, with over 40 suspended obstacles, thrilling ziplines, and a view of Freedom Park, according to Go Ape’s announcement.
Go Ape Williamsburg also has a Treetop Journey course, which is the perfect introduction to aerial adventure. For more grounded adventure, there is also an ax-throwing range, where you can embrace nature and throw hatchets.
“While COVID-19 has presented various challenges, outdoor spaces are well suited to increase social distance and have natural air circulation. Go Ape has always prioritized customer safety and is taking a similarly vigilant approach to COVID-19, with significant changes to their cleaning and operating procedures,” a news release from Go Ape stated.
Capacity limits have been placed on all sessions to ensure sizes are in compliance with CDC, state and local guidelines.
Go Ape is also encouraging guests to reserve space ahead of time by visiting its website and booking a time.
A flexible cancellation policy is in place with numerous options to reschedule as necessary.
During check-in and briefing, guests are encouraged to be “one gorilla apart” — at least six feet — from others. Guests from different groups are required to maintain at least “one crossing” — more than six feet distance from other groups.
Face coverings have been provided for all staff, and Go Ape is requiring all guests to wear a face covering during check-in, briefing, and any time social distancing cannot be maintained.
