People are spending more time outdoors because of the coronavirus pandemic. Some people have started to ride bikes and walk on trails, while others have attended to their homes and outdoor spaces.
Those who have picked up or are interested in gardening can learn more about their backyard green spaces and the area’s wildlife from an expert Saturday.
Williamsburg Botanical Garden is hosting a virtual event, part of the nonprofit organization’s monthly Learn & Grow series, to discuss how garden spaces affect wildlife and the environment.
The Zoom event is free and is limited to a maximum of 100 people. You can sign up here.
“Brian Taber, the director of the Coastal Virginia Wildlife Observatory, will share insights into how garden spaces are important for the preservation of wildlife for a healthy ecology and environmental conservation,” according to the event page’s description.
The “Everything is Connected” event is Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 am. via Zoom.
Attendees will receive a Zoom link upon registration and an event reminder 30 minutes before the event.
