A Norfolk woman has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing.
It happened around 3:00 on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
The Norfolk Police Dept. said they responded to a call for a stabbing victim in the 3500 block of Mangrove Ave. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a stab wound. The woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives have identified the victim as Tamia D. Benton, 19.
As a result of the investigation, detectives charged Armani N. Alexander, 20, with second-degree murder.
Detectives have not released the motive or any of the circumstances surrounding this stabbing.
