Students attending Christopher Newport University won’t have to pay more for their college education.
The university announced Wednesday the tuition and fees, room and board rates for the 2020-2021 academic school year will not increase.
“We want to stand with our students and families in these difficult days,” Paul Trible, CNU president said in a prepared statement on April 22 to students and their families. “It would be wrong for us in this time of economic chaos to increase the cost of a Christopher Newport education and we will not do so.”
Trible wrote the university plans to resume on-campus classes in the fall depending on the state of the coronavirus.
“My very best wishes to you and please stay safe and well,” he added.
