Here’s what’s open, closed in the Historic Triangle on Monday

On Monday, Presidents’ Day is a holiday to remember the birthday of the first United States President, George Washington.

But for some places it’s also a much-needed day off. Make sure you know what’s closed before you head out the door.

York County

  • County offices, closed
  • York-Poquoson Courthouse, closed
  • York-Poquoson Social Services, closed
  • Virginia Cooperative Extension, open
  • York County Libraries, closed
  • Waste Management Center Administrative Offices, closed
  • Garbage and recycling collection, no change
  • Drop-off Facilities at Waste Management Center, open
  • VPPSA Compost Facility, open

James City County

  • County offices, closed
  • James City County Recreation Center, open
  • Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, open
  • County parks, open
  • Freedom park store and office, open
  • Chickahominy Riverfront Park store and office, closed
  • James City County Marina store and office, closed
  • Little Creek Reservoir Park store and office, closed

If Williamsburg residents experience a water emergency on Monday, call 757-220-2331. To pay a bill, residents can use the bill payment drop box in front of the Municipal Building or pay online. Payments made on Monday will not be processed until Tuesday.
