Jamestown Settlement is now offering a personality quiz that will match participants with their 17th century artifactual soulmate.
On Tuesday, HistoryisFun.org launched a new personality quiz, “Artifactually Yours,” that asks participants to imagine what they would be if they were a historic artifact, according to a news release from Jamestown Settlement.
The quiz will match different personality types with items such as free spirit personalities with a Powhatan rattle, loyal personalities with an English bodkin or relaxed personalities with Angolan bellows.
Artifacts used by the Powhatan Indian, Angolan or English cultures will be featured in the quiz. These cultures converged in Virginia in the 1600s and the quiz aims to provide an amusing take on the history.
In the quiz, players will select one of four possible response to 10 different questions. Then, they will be matched to one of the 16 artifacts from the era, with a photo and description of the artifact telling who used it.
It will also provide a peek behind the exhibit cases in the settlement’s 30,000-square-foot gallery, part of which is currently being prepared for the second phase of a $10.6 million refresh.
The gallery enhancement is planned to expand the story line of 17th century Virginia and historical events with the marking of 400-year milestones in conjunction with the 2019 Commemoration, American Evolution on mid-2019.
