Need a place to cool off?
With the Historic Triangle under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Wednesday, James City County is opening two cooling centers to help residents and visitors beat the heat.
The cooling centers are at the James City County Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road, and the Human Services Center, 5249 Olde Towne Road.
Both locations provide air conditioning and places to sit, the county said.
The Recreation Center is open until 9 p.m. Wednesday; the Human Services Center closes at 5 p.m.
Pets are not allowed in the cooling centers.
