NORFOLK — Last year, a regulation enforced by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services prohibited a certain furry companion from joining their owners in tasting rooms.

Now that’s about to change.

Starting July 1, dogs will once again be allowed in tasting rooms in Virginia, and O’Connor Brewing Company is ready to celebrate.

To honor the return of the dogs, there will be a new beer released at the event called “Puppy Playdate Pale Ale.”

And that’s not all — according to O’Connor Brewing Company, a portion of the proceeds will go toward Norfolk SPCA.

Also, if interested in buying some local goods while going out for a drink, consider checking out local vendors Dogtown and Give.Treat.Love for some dog treats.
