JAMES CITY Are you interested in learning more about the Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg? Now you have the chance for an insider experience.
Hospice House is a social model hospice that provides a variety of support for individuals facing the last phases of their lives, according to the organization.
Hospice House is offering volunteer-led tours of the facility at 4445 Powhatan Parkway from noon to 2 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month through September. The next tour is scheduled for June 7.
“At Hospice House we understand that end of life can be a scary, isolating event. Our organization is here to provide a multifaceted approach to end of life that brings compassion, dignity and comfort to families,” Executive Director Audrey Smith said in a news release. “We want them to know we are here for them when they need us.”
The tours are free and are open to all area residents, businesses, organizations and civic groups. Each tour will cover the 11-acre grounds and provide information about programs offered to support individuals and families.
Other tour dates are July 5, Aug. 2 and Sept. 6.
