A free gun safety class will be available to residents of York County and Poquoson, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
The class is lecture-only and there will be no hands-on instruction. It focuses on general handgun safety, but also meets the criteria to apply for a concealed carry permit.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants after the two-hour course.
The class is open to York County and Poquoson residents that are 18 years of age or older on Tuesday and will take place from 6-8 p.m.
