NORFOLK — Police are looking for a man they say shot another man to death in the Young Terrace neighborhood last week.
Mitchell R. Grice, 39, is wanted on charges of second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police said Grice is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities are urging anyone who may know the whereabouts of Grice to immediately call the Norfolk Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
The incident
Police were called to the 200 block of Nicholson Street just after 9:20 p.m. last Wednesday for a report of a gunshot disturbance.
There, they found Robert T. Lucas III outside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, a news release indicated. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said Lucas lived in the 7700 block of Restmere Road. He was 27 years old.
Information on the motive for the killing has not been released.
This is the 10th homicide this year in Norfolk.
