James City County Social Services offers program on understanding banking

Understanding finances in the digital age can be a struggle, but James City County Social Services is there to help with a workshop for understanding banking.

The workshop will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Human Services Center at 5249 Olde Towne Road, according to a release from social services.

The understanding banking workshop is a part of a series for participants in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program.

The class is aimed at adults of all ages and stages of life. Topics during the course will include checking accounts, tax returns, fraud, loans and skills for saving money.

Jody Nunn, a branch manager at Langley Federal Credit Union in New Town, will lead the class.
