Tech-minded folks get happy! Specialty retailer Brookstone is coming to Williamsburg Premium Outlets this Memorial Day Weekend.
Known for its gadgets, electronic gizmos and functional gifts, the Merrimack, N.H.-based retailer will open its newest store, set between the Carter’s and Ann Taylor stores, at the James City County location Friday, according to a press release.
With a fun, interactive and hands-on shopping experience, Brookstone, joins the tenant mix of 135 retailers at Premium Outlets, which includes high-end retailers such as Burberrys and marquee brands Polo Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor and Nike to name a few.
Brookstone’s opening coincides with the center’s annual “Memorial Day Sidewalk Sale,” event taking place Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at select retailers.
Some featured stores during the sale include Kate Spade New York, Bath & Body Works and J. Crew Factory.
“The Sidewalk Sales,” an annual event for about a decade, typically draws throngs of people well into the thousands, said Lisa Jones, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Premium Outlets.
“We love our older customers, we love our millennials, we love our fashionistas,” Jones said. “We have a such a variety of tenants here that you can leave happy.”
She added the event gives retailers an opportunity to bring the display racks and merchandise tables outside to showcase their “hot items” and other bargain deals.
Earlier this year, Premium Outlets announced it would open a sister property — Norfolk Premium Outlets — at the end of June, Jones said.
On Friday and Saturday, the Williamburg stores will open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Monday again from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Williamsburg Premium Outlets is a 526,289 square-foot outlet shopping center located at Olde Towne and Richmond roads.
