Update: Due to mechanical issues, the DMV2Go scheduled for Jan. 25 has been cancelled by the DMV. The next visit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12.
Residents who need to pay a visit to the Department of Motor Vehicles will have an opportunity to conduct their business at the library instead.
A press release from York County indicates that the Yorktown Library will host the DMV2Go mobile Wednesday, Jan. 25 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The DMV2Go is a mobile office that allows motorists to conduct any transaction that would normally be completed at a Virginia DMV office.
DMV2Go supported transactions include applying for or renewing driver’s licenses, obtaining vehicle titles and plates, purchasing EZ-Pass transponders, updating address and applying for certified copies of birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates.
A complete list of scheduled DMV2Go appearances can be found at the DMV website.
