Two people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening early Tuesday morning after being shot outside an Upper York County neighborhood, authorities said.
Deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of shots fired in the Carver Gardens neighborhood off Merrimac Trail at around 1:44 a.m. Tuesday.
They arrived in the 200 block of Bethune Drive to find an 18-year-old male and a 25-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds, Lt. Dennis Ivey with YPSO said in a news release.
They were both transported to Riverside Doctors’ Hospital for their injuries, which appear not to be life-threatening, Ivey said.
There is no suspect description at this time. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
