Providence Classical School to Graduate Two Students

Providence Classical School will host its second commencement in the school’s history, graduating two seniors who will both attend college in the fall.

Lingbee Chyna Lim, and Destiny Joy Pacella will be honored in a ceremony Saturday at New Town United Methodist Church.

Lim, the valedictorian, will attend North Carolina State University and plans to major in mechanical engineering. Pacella, the salutatorian, will begin her journey to become a doctor at the University of Richmond.

3. Plans for the future? Attend North Carolina State University and major in Mechanical Engineering
4. Extracurricular activities? Spray Paint Art
5. Dream job? Automotive Engineer
6. Best stress reliever: Any form of art (i.e. sketching, painting, crafting)
7. On the weekends, I’m … either hanging out with friends or at home with my dad.
8. Person I most admire: My dad!

10. Most cherished high school memory: My most cherished memory is the class trip to New York. Not only did I explore new places and learn new things, but I bonded with my classmates and strengthened my ties with each one of them!

Academic: rhetoric, history and philosophy, literature, fine arts and science
Character: the compassion award, for genuine friendship and concern for fellow classmates; the truth, goodness & beauty award, for consistent desire to seek excellence and do what pleases God; and the wisdom award, for showing wisdom and diligence

2. Birthplace: New London, Conn.
3. Plans for the future? Attend the University of Richmond, graduate in 2018, apply for med school and become a doctor
4. Extracurricular activities? Volunteering at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, working at Chick fil A on Mooretown Road, working at Regal New Town Cinemas 12, babysitting weekly
5. Dream job? Doctor, either anesthesiologist, dermatologist, Ob/GYN, EMT, etc. (I’m undecided as to what field I want to join. I have a lot of options.)
6. Best stress reliever: Sleep and yoga
7. On the weekends, I’m … either working at Regal New Town Cinemas 12, watching movies, playing sports, going to the beach, getting food, all with friends or family
8. Person I most admire: My mom. She’s the strongest, most patient, most forgiving, most loving person I know.
