James City County is offering a free first-time homebuyer class in March.
The county’s Office of Housing and Community Development will offer the class from 6 to 9 p.m. March 4 and 6 at William E. Wood & Associates Realtors in New Town.
Some mortgage companies require applicants to complete a home buyers class before loans are approved. Participants who attend both sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
The class is open to anyone interested and will benefit people currently purchasing a home or who are considering a future purchase. The class will cover personal finances, credit, loan qualification, home inspection, closing, and finding the right home.
