
Williamsburg-James City County Schools, York County School Division and Walsingham Academy will be closed to students Friday.
WJCC’s 10- and 11-month employees do not have to report to work, and 12-month employees are on a two-hour day. Liberal leave is in effect.
Walsingham will be closed to students, but faculty and staff should report to the school on a two-hour delay. Because of the closures, Grandparents Day has been rescheduled to Feb. 7. All spirit night activities will be rescheduled.
All York schools will be closed to students, 10-month and 11-month employees; 12-month employees should report on a two-hour delay or use liberal leave. Schools will reopen Monday, when students will take the last two high school course exams. All schools will operate on a full day Monday and Tuesday.
York school websites will provide information about exam and bell schedules and second quarter assignments or assessments not yet turned in. The information will also be sent through edline and will be available by close of business Friday.
Friday marks the third day off from school this week for Walsingham and York students after a winter storm blanketed the area with snow and ice.
Williamsburg Christian Academy will be on a two-hour delay Friday.
Williamsburg Montessori School will begin programs at 9:30 a.m. There will be no before-school care or morning bus service.
Providence Classical School will open on a two-hour delay.
The Virginia Living Museum will open an hour later – at 10 a.m. – Friday.
