
The Williamsburg Outlet Mall will be closing its doors for good at the end of the year.
In April, the mall’s owner announced plans to close down the mall; plans came out in June for a new development that would replace the mall. With stores still in the mall, businesses were faced with a decision to relocate or close for good.
Several stores released plans in September about potential relocations or closures, but some did not respond at the time or were unsure of their plans. With the closure looming in less than week, stores now have firmer plans.
Totes is under liquidation. The entire store and its fixtures are on sale.
Famous Footwear is closing with no current plans to relocate, the store manager said. The remaining stock will be transferred to other Famous Footwear stores.
Easy Spirit closed for good Thursday to consolidate with a store at the Premium Outlets.
Bon Worth currently has no plans to relocate after closing Saturday All items in the store are currently discounted up to 60 percent.
It’s unclear what will happen at the Destination XL Outlet. The store’s manager Jim Johnson said the corporate office had not yet made a decision. The corporate public relations team did not respond to an emailed request for comment.
The Bottom Line will close Dec. 31. No plans have yet been announced on whether it will reopen in a new location.
