A female student at the College of William and Mary was approached Monday night by an unknown male who exposed himself to her. The student was not physically harmed and she contacted police immediately following the incident, which occurred around 8:30 p.m.
The student was approached in the Green and Gold Village area near the intersection of College Terrace and Harrison Ave. The suspect was described as an approximately 40-year-old white male, about 5’10” with an average build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and a beanie hat.
A college press release called the incident “an unfortunate reminder that crimes can and do occur,” even though the college and Williamsburg are largely safe communities.
