Police Release More Details About Body Found in Creek

The James City County Police Department has released the height and increased the age range of the body they found Sunday in Black Stump Creek off the Chickahominy River.

Police want the public’s help in identifying the 5’4” white male whose age is between the late teens and late 30s. He had dark brown or black hair, and there were no identifying marks or items on his body. He is believed to have been in the water for three or four days.

A call was made to police at about 4 p.m. Sunday from a boater who said he had seen a possible body in the water. Fire and police personnel dispatched a boat to that location, near the 2300 block of Bush Neck Road, where the body was found.

Anyone with information is asked to call the James City County Police Department at 566-0112.
