Police: Boy Allegedly Left Threatening Voicemail to D.J. Montague Assistant Principal

Petitions are pending against an 11-year-old James City County boy after he allegedly left a voicemail at D.J. Montague Elementary School threatening to sexually assault and commit bodily harm to the school’s assistant principal.

Maj. Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department said that school staff told police they’ve had problems with the boy in the past. The voicemail was left on a school phone on June 29. It was discovered by staff July 1.

Rubino said the boy is looking at a misdemeanor charge of making threats over the phone to a school employee.
