
Gov. Bob McDonnell has appointed Burson Taylor Snyder of Alexandria to the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Board of Trustees.
Snyder, currently serving as deputy chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri, is married to Pete Snyder, a candidate for Lieutenant Governor and member of The College of William & Mary Board of Visitors.
Snyder has worked for 15 years in communications for political campaigns and Congressional leaders. She serves on the advisory board of KIPP DC charter schools and on the National Alumnae Board of Hutchison School. She earned a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Her term on the JYF board will end June 2016. The board is composed of General Assembly members, state officials and gubernatorial and board appointees.
