The Williamsburg Inn, which sends its visitors to the Spa of Colonial Williamsburg, has been rated number six on Conde Nast Traveler’s list of Top 100 U.S. Resort Spas. The list was compiled through a readers’ poll that represented more than 46,000 visits to resort, hotel and cruise spas.

“It’s just so satisfying to us because we work hard and we have a great staff and a beautiful facility…and great services and products. It’s just really satisfying that our guests validate that,” said Kate Mearns, spa director.

The spa was ranked 97.9 overall on a scale of one to 100. In a breakdown, the spa received a 97.9 for treatments, 98 each for staff and facilities.

Mearns said the spa has 12 treatment rooms and a hair and nail salon. A new spa menu is released annually; the spa is in the final stages of planning the latest menu, which will be released in the next couple of months.

The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg was ranked number 28 on the list of Top 100 U.S. Mainland Resort Spas in 2011.

“It probably bodes well for other guests looking to see the quality of spa we run here,” Mearns said. “I think we’ve just continued to get better and better and better and I think more and more people have been here.”
