GLOUCESTER COUNTY — Gloucester County recently appointed Sasi Wojcik as its new chief financial officer, according to a county news release.

Wojcik, a York County resident and graduate of William & Mary, brings more than 25 years of accounting and fiscal experience across local government, nonprofit organizations, higher education, health care and manufacturing.

She most recently served for eight years as finance and accounting director for the Williamsburg-based National Center for State Courts, a nonprofit focused on improving courts and justice systems.

Interim County Administrator George Bains said Wojcik’s background made her a strong addition to the county’s leadership team.

“Sasi brings a wealth of financial experience and a proven record of responsible fiscal leadership,” Bains said in a statement. “Her diverse background, strategic mindset and commitment to transparency and accountability will serve Gloucester County well as we continue to responsibly manage public resources while planning for the future.”

Wojcik said she plans to bring both strategic and day-to-day experience to the role.

“One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine hands-on operational expertise with executive-level financial strategy,” Wojcik said. “I am committed to building strong relationships at every level of an organization and fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, accountability and continuous improvement.”

As CFO, Wojcik will oversee the county’s budgeting, accounting, treasury management and long-range planning, working closely with county leadership, the Board of Supervisors and department staff.
