WILLIAMSBURG — Choral pieces composed by six modern composers will be featured in the spring program of the Williamsburg Women’s Chorus Tuesday, May 13.
The program, entitled “Our Voice: Music of Our Time,” includes “Spells” by British composer Bob Chilcott, a song cycle setting four magical poems by Kathleen Raine; “Five Sea Songs” by Australian singer and composer Daniel Brinsmead, and “Today, This Spring” by American composer Libby Larsen, according to the organization..
The chorus is directed by Artistic Director Rebecca Davy, and accompanied by pianist Karen Ives.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 215 Richmond Road in Williamsburg. Suggested donation at the door is $15 per adult, $10 for students.
