Meet Klondike, this week’s adoptable pet

Meet Klondike, this week’s adoptable pet brought to you by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Looking for a sweet senior kitty with a big personality? Klondike might just be your match. Klondike came to Heritage Humane Society in December 2019. From afar Klondike often gives you the serious cat stare, but don’t let that deceive you. When you come up and start petting him he quickly melts into your arms and shows his loving and affectionate side. And if you look closely you will notice something a little different with his toes.
Klondike is a polydactyl cat. Most polydactyl cats, like Klondike, have extra toes on their front paws, which sometimes resemble thumbs or cute little mittens. Polydactyly is a genetic abnormality and these kitties normally don’t need any special care.
Fun fact: Polydactyl cats were considered good luck at sea because sailors thought they were better mouse catchers! Come by the Heritage Humane Society Adoption Center to meet this unique kitty. He is looking for a loving home where he can receive all the cuddles and attention he so deserves.
