Meet Zoey, this week’s adoptable pet

Zoey is a volunteer and staff favorite here at Heritage Humane Society.

She is a frequent visitor on Duke of Gloucester Street. After a stroll through the heart of Colonial Williamsburg she is content to rest patiently through the rest of the day.

This 7-year-old mixed breed still greets everyone she meets with the friendliness of a puppy. She can be dog selective, though. She is not interested in playgroups here at the shelter.  She may show some interest in other dogs, but she is firmly in the “I may smell you, but you don’t smell me!” camp.

But Zoey’s easy-going, people-friendly characteristics more than make up for it. She doesn’t ask for much. All she really wants is a human to be her best friend, a warm bed, and maybe the occasional walk down DoG street.
