SEAFORD — The York County Department of Fire and Life Safety responded to a fire that caused damage to a garage in Seaford Saturday morning.
According to officials, at approximately 11 a.m. Aug. 2, personnel from the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety were dispatched to a report of a residential fire in the 800 block of Dandy Loop Road in the Seaford area of York County. A neighbor reported the fire. The occupants were not home at the time.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue units found heavy smoke coming from the home’s attached garage.
There was no damage to the home’s living space, and the family’s pet rabbit was safe. All damage was contained to the garage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety Fire Prevention Division.
