James City County: Icenhour, Wainwright Win BOS Seats, School Board Race too Close to Call

HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Two Board of Supervisor seats and two Williamsburg-James City County School Board seats were up for grabs in James City County Tuesday.

According to unofficial results, incumbent Jim Icenhour defeated John C. Slokovitz to keep his Board of Supervisors seat in Jamestown District, while Tracy L. Wainwright defeated Ti’Juana A. Gholson in Powhatan for the seat currently held by Michael Hipple.

In the school board races, Kimberley M. Hundley was running unopposed to represent Powhatan District, while the race between board chair Sarah Ortego and challenger Ty Hodges in Jamestown District was too close to call, with just 15 votes separating them, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.

Several local races also took place in Williamsburg, Poquoson and Gloucester County.
