Sidney Van Sickel Named to Spring 2025 Dean’s Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi

Sidney Van Sickel of Williamsburg was named to the University of Mississippi’s Spring 2025 Honor Roll lists.
Van Sickel, majoring in Real Estate, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.
To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
The University of Mississippi, affectionately known as Ole Miss, is the state’s flagship university. Its main campus is in Oxford.
Local Emerson College Students Earn Dean’s List Honors for Spring 2025 Semester
The following students were named to Emerson College’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. To make the Dean’s List, students must have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.
- Isabelle McMahan of Williamsburg is majoring in Creative Writing BFA and is a member of the Class of 2026.
- Jackson Query of Williamsburg is majoring in Theatre and Performance and is a member of the Class of 2025.

Zoe Wilson named to Mississippi State University’s spring 2025 Deans’ List

Zoe Wilson of Yorktown was named to the Mississippi State University spring 2025 Deans’ List.
To be named to the Deans’ List, a student must have achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
Mississippi State University announces spring 2025 President’s List
Students on the President’s List at Mississippi State achieved a 3.80 or better grade-point average, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

Rachael Willis among Mississippi State University’s spring 2025 graduates
Rachael Willis, of Langley AFB, is among approximately 3,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in spring 2025, with commencement in May.
Willis received the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Sarah Finch of Williamsburg Named to Rhodes College’s Spring 2025 Honor Roll
Sarah Finch of Williamsburg was named to Rhodes College’s Spring 2025 Honor Roll.
To qualify for the Honor Roll, a student must be enrolled in at least 16 credits of academic work and achieve a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better. Those students who choose to take a course under the Pass/Fail option must have a minimum of 12 additional graded credits of work to be considered for this honor. Students who are enrolled in the Honors Program or independent Research and receive a grade of IP for that work will have their qualifying grade point average determined on all other graded work.
Finch also graduated from Rhodes College Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
The 176th Commencement Exercises of Rhodes College took place on campus May 17, 2025. The college awarded more than 500 degrees, including the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Accounting, and Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Equity.

Rudrani Ghoshal named to Siena College Dean’s List for Spring 2025 Semester
Rudrani Ghoshal has been named to the Siena College Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester. Rudrani is from Yorktown.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student’s grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89.
Siena College is located in Loudonville, New York.
Shenandoah University Announces Over 1,350 Graduates For 2024-25 Academic Year

Shenandoah University announced 1,369 graduates earned degrees and/or certificates during the 2024-25 academic year. This total includes 239 August 2024 graduates, 366 December 2024 graduates, and 764 May 2025 graduates.
SU’s 2024-25 graduates included:

Mackenzie Barlich Graduates from Valdosta State University
Mackenzie Barlich of Yorktown has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in American Sign Language/English Interpreting from Valdosta State University.
Barlich is among more than 1,100 students who achieved their academic goals and graduated from VSU at the end of Spring Semester 2025.

Kurstie Gant of Williamsburg Earns Bachelor’s Degree from Nazareth University
Kurstie Gant of Williamsburg graduated from Nazareth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a minor in Social Welfare during the 98th Commencement ceremony on campus at the Golisano Training Center on Saturday, May 17.
