College of Charleston Announces President’s List for Spring 2025

College of Charleston recently congratulated over 2,100 students named to the President’s List for Spring 2025.

The following local students were recognized:

  • Anna Harris of Williamsburg, majoring in Psychology and Spanish
  • Emily Littreal of Williamsburg, majoring in Political Science
  • Bradley Wilkinson of Yorktown, majoring in German Studies and Political Science

To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Rachel Siegel Named to The College of Charleston Spring 2025 Dean’s List

Rachel Siegel of Williamsburg was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2025 Dean’s List. Siegel is majoring in Political Science

To qualify for the Dean’s List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.500 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Located in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina, the College of Charleston is a nationally recognized, public liberal arts and sciences university.

Kirsten Flannigan Earns Degree from Wofford College

Wofford holds its 171st Commencement exercises.

Wofford College awarded 452 Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees to graduates during the college’s recent 171st Commencement exercises.

Kirsten Flannigan of Toano received a B.S. in biology.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Glennon earns degree from Clark University

Members of Clark University’s Class of 2025 await the start of the undergraduate Commencement ceremony.

Tessa M. Glennon, of Williamsburg, received a degree from Clark University on Monday, May 19. Glennon graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts.

Clark awarded 468 undergraduate degrees and 1,014 advanced degrees during two ceremonies as part of the University’s 121st Commencement exercises, held at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The University conferred 975 master’s and 39 doctoral degrees to a class that included graduates from 41 states and 35 countries.

Nick Barrows Named To Dean’s List at Miami University

Nick Barrows of Yorktown was named to the Dean’s list at Miami University for the 2025 spring semester.

Miami University students who are ranked in the top 20% of undergraduate students within their division for the 2025 spring semester have been named to the Dean’s list, recognizing academic performance.

Valdosta State University Announces Spring 2025 Dean’s List

More than 2,000 students were named to Valdosta State University’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List.

To qualify for Dean’s List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Area residents who qualified include:

  • Tiffany Artis of Yorktown
  • Mackenzie Barlich of Yorktown

Velkassem Agguini Named to University of Hartford’s Dean’s List and President’s List

The University of Hartford recently announced that Velkassem Agguini of Williamsburg has been named to the Dean’s List and President’s List for the spring 2025 semester.

Spread across seven dynamic schools and colleges, the University of Hartford is a four-year private university focused on advancing the public good through meaningful connections within its communities.

Jeremy Martin named to Troy University Chancellor’s List

Jeremy Martin of Yorktown has been named to the Chancellor’s List at Troy University for the spring semester/Term 4 of the 2024-25 academic year.

The Chancellor’s List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade point average of 4.0.

Troy University is a public, historic, international university with 22,500 students and 154,000 alumni based in Troy, Alabama.

Local Students Graduate from Bridgewater College

Bridgewater College recognized 302 undergraduates and 25 master’s students receiving degrees during the College’s 145th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3. Area students included:

  • Briana Carlsen of Williamsburg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History
  • Alexander Hisel of Yorktown graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration

Coeducational since its founding in 1880, Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Nomsa Matongo Named to University of Bridgeport’s Spring 2025 President’s List

Nomsa Matongo of Williamsburg was named to University of Bridgeport’s Spring 2025 President’s List.

Matongo was among more than 350 students named to the Spring 2025 President’s List.

To be named to the President’s List, a student must maintain a term grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

6,700-plus Huskers named to Deans’ List for spring 2025

More than 6,700 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. Listed below are the minimum requirements for each entity and the name of its respective dean or director. All qualifying grade-point averages are based on a four-point scale and a minimum number of graded semester hours. Students can be on the Deans’ List for more than one college.

  • College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, 3.75; Interim Dean Thomas Burkey.
  • College of Architecture, 3.75; Dean Kevin G. Van Den Wymelenberg.
  • College of Arts and Sciences, 3.7; Acting Dean Patrick Dussault.
