ARNOLD, Md. — Lionsbridge FC secured a spot in the USL League Two playoffs for the fourth consecutive year with a 2-1 comeback win against Patuxent on Wednesday night, completing a perfect 6-0 record on the road in the Chesapeake Division this season.
Patuxent took the lead in the 24th minute through a goal by Macklin. Lionsbridge equalized in the 68th minute when Claudel N’Goubou found the back of the net, assisted by Isaiah Chisolm.
The decisive moment came in the 83rd minute. Coleman Jennings, making his first appearance of the season after rejoining the team last week, scored with his first touch just four minutes after coming on as a substitute. Christian Hatley provided the assist.
Lionsbridge’s victory, combined with Charlottesville’s draw at Christos, ensured their place in the postseason. Lionsbridge is one of only eight teams in the league to reach the playoffs each of the past four seasons.
